Measuring Carbon in Complex Landscapes with Trees - Report back from Bonn

The growing interest in monitoring, measurement and verification (MRV) was highlighted in a side event hosted by the Centre during the UNFCCC climate change meeting in Bonn, Germany. More than 40 people attended the side event on 7 June organized by the World Agroforestry Centre and the Alternatives to Slash and Burn (ASB) partnership.

EX-Ante Carbon-balance Tool for agriculture and forestry projects

EX-Ante Carbon-balance Tool (EX-ACT) is a tool developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It is aimed at providing ex-ante measurements of the mitigation impact of agriculture and forestry development projects, estimating net Carbon (C) balance from greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and C sequestration.
