REDD calculator and mapping tool for Indonesia
Researchers have launched a new tool to help policy-makers, NGOs, and landowners evaluate the potential benefits and costs of Indonesia's reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD+) program at provincial and district levels. The caculator generates emissions reductions estimates and associated opportunity costs for different REDD+ implementation scenarios, including Indonesia's two-year moratorium on new logging concessions in primary forest and peatland areas.
