| Abstract | Capirona (Calycophyllum spruceanum) is a priority agro forestry tree in the Peruvian Amazon. Its cultivation in agro forestry systems has been advocated to counter unsustainable land use practices such as slash-and-burn agriculture, to protect natural forest and raise rural incomes. This article talks about the work going on for the domestication of this important species. |
