Land Day 5

Dr Dennis Garrity, ICRAF former Director General will give a keynote address at the Land Day 5 event to be held at the margins of COP 17 in Durban South Africa.

"Land Day" aims to heighten attention among policy makers to land issues of relevance to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). It is designed as a one-day event held in parallel to strategic intergovernmental multilateral environmental meetings, and is organized jointly by the UNCCD and its partner organizations. Land Day 5 will be held on 6 December 2011 during the UNFCCC's 17th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) in Durban, South Africa, in partnership with the Department of Environmental Affairs, Republic of South Africa.
