New journal: Carbon Management

Following on from the success of newly launched journal Biofuels in January 2010, Carbon Management represents the next step in what is set to be an exciting series of environmental titles. This peer-reviewed journal is devoted to the rapid publication of topical commentary and analysis in carbon management research. Carbon Management provides a forum for all stakeholders in the carbon sector, featuring review articles, original research, commentaries, policy updates, news and much more, with a view to establishing an international framework of carbon management research and communication. Set to launch in September 2010, Carbon Management reflects Future Science’s commitment to establishing a range of leading titles in key areas of environmental research.
Briefly, the coverage of the journal includes:
  • Natural cycles, sinks and sources of carbon and other greenhouse gases in relation to terrestrial, aquatic, marine and atmospheric environments
  • Impacts of anthropogenic activities, such as transport, energy, the built environment, and food, on greenhouse gas emissions
  • Management processes to measure, assess and mitigate associated carbon emissions at all scales, from country level through to industry, business and individual
  • Policy initiatives to regulate, finance, incentivise and account for carbon emissions' reductions
  • Adaptation measures to address the impacts of climate change
