| Abstract | The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MA) is the most ambitious study ever undertaken of the relationship between the world’s ecosystems and human well being. It shares information with decision makers about the state of these systems globally, as well as at the level of communities, countries and regions. The Alternatives to Slash-and-Burn Programme (ASB) is conducting the only cross-cutting assessment in the MA, working across regions in the tropics. |
