| Abstract | AFS research program, developed by CIRAD and ICRAF-cp, develops, Indonesia, agroforestry systems based complexes rubber conserving biodiversity and maintaining the ecological environment. The objective is to provide sufficient income for the small farmer, through the production of rubber and agroforestry products (fruits, wood, rattan and other non-timber products), while rehabilitating highly degraded environments. The program is to experiment with on-farm (participatory approach to 100 small farmers forming the network in three provinces of Kalimantan and Sumatra), technical systems including agroforestry hevea rubber tree clones with high productivity with other perennial plants (trees wood and fruits, rattan) and annual (immature period of rubber). Exogenous technical innovations (clones, fertilization, tapping techniques, weed control) are incorporated innovations "native". |
