AbstractThis research Aimed at testing coffee and rice husks upon slender effects amaranth (Amaranthus viridis L.) coffee in var. "Catuaí" plantation in Lavras, MG, Brazil. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications in a split plot scheme, Incorporation Considering mulch in the soil Incorporation and in the main plots, rice and coffee and husks, and the expanded vermiculite and mulch the subplots. Coffee and rice husks Either inhibited seed stimulated growth or germination of slender amaranth in different ways: Greater promoted seed rice husk germination inhibition than coffee husk, while coffee Greater husk promoted rice growth stimulation than husk. Incorporated coffee husks provided higher grain yield than not incorporated.
