Economic reasons to reduce emissions in Indonesia

A new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science presents scenarios where Indonesia could have earned $5 billion in revenue and avoided 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide emissions between 2000 and 2005 had a reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD+) program been in place.
