With growth problems caused by bovine spongiform encephalopathy, also known as &quot;mad cow disease&quot; in Europe, due to the use of concentrates containing animal waste in feed for livestock, opens a niche market to increase Brazilian exports of beef produced pasture. The productivity of livestock (meat and milk production per animal and per hectare) can be compromised by low quality and seasonal forage production,
especially when pasture grasses are made ​​with pure and without the correction of soil fertility. This problem can be verified by the existence of large areas of pasture with low productive capacity and the degraded areas over the years of operation in all regions of the country's impoverishment livestock sector and the limitation or inadequacy of available credit lines. </style></abstract></record></records></xml>
