ASB has operated as a global consortium since 1994. It is recognized as a leader in integrated natural resource management (iNRM) research and development and as one of the CGIAR’s most effective System Wide Programmes. ASB has grown significantly in its total budget, range of activities, and partnerships since 2000 and currently brings together more than 80 research institutes, non-governmental organizations, universities, community organizations, farmers’ groups, and other local, national, and international partners.
