ASB Global Coordination Office
The ASB global coordination office (GCO) has pivotal roles in leading synthesis, communication, and translation of results into global public goods to be used by a variety of audiences. The ASB GCO is hosted by The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), in Nairobi, Kenya.

The ASB GCO team is formed by:
- Dr. Peter A Minang: ASB Global Coordinator
- Joyce Kasyoki: Manager, ASB Programme Administration
- Vanessa Meadu: Communications Officer
- Catherine Kimengu: Administrative assistant
- Global synthesis of ASB results for policymakers and other users to extrapolate implications for the tropics as a whole.
- Promotion of ASB scientific publication and training.
- Efficient coordination and support for effective governance , including support to the ASB Global Steering Group (GSG).
- Facilitation of research planning and standardization of methods to ensure cross-site comparability.
- Lead fundraising for global activities.
- Support to ASB partners' programmes including fundraising, capacity building, and programme grants to partners .
Key information dissemination and public awareness activities from the GCO include:
- ASB website (www.asb.cgiar.org) in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese with a searchable data base of ASB publications (850 entries).
- ASB's e-newsletter which covers the latest news, journal articles, and events relating to the effects of land use and landscape management on livelihoods and environmental services in the tropical forest margins
- ASB Policybriefs series: to deliver relevant, concise reading to key people whose decisions will make a difference to poverty reduction and environmental protection in the humid tropics.
- ASB Voices series: to convey to a broad audience insights, and perspectives from people's real-life experiences and challenges in the humid tropics.
